This M.2 NVMe SATA SSD Enclosure is compatible with (M-Key/M+B Key) M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD, compatible with (M+B Key) M.2 SATA/NGFF SSD. Not compatible with (B-Key) SATA/NGFF SSD.

ORICO M.2 NVMe SSD external case adopts the latest USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C interface. Support UASP acceleration protocol and support theoretical data transmission speed of up to 10Gbps. When using high-performance NVMe media, the read/write performance can exceed 900 Mbytes/sec. Included USB-C to USB-C and USB-C to USB-A cables, works with USB-C/USB-A hosts.

M.2 NVMe (Non-Volatile Memory Express): This type of M.2 solid-state drive utilizes the NVMe protocol to connect to the M.2 slot on the computer's motherboard. NVMe is a faster storage protocol, typically offering higher data transfer speeds than traditional SATA SSDs. Therefore, if your motherboard supports M.2 NVMe, you can install an M.2 NVMe solid-state drive to achieve better performance.
M.2 SATA: M.2 SATA solid-state drives, on the other hand, use the SATA protocol to connect to the M.2 slot on the motherboard. They have a form factor similar to M.2 NVMe drives, but their performance is akin to that of traditional 2.5-inch SATA SSDs, as they share the same SATA interface. This means that M.2 SATA SSDs are not as fast as M.2 NVMe SSDs.

This ORICO external case is made of aluminum top and plastic bottom, which ensures portability and good heat dissipation effect. 4.25 * 1.16 * 0.53 inch portable size is very convenient for carrying. You can put your M.2 NVMe hard drive in this enclosure and equip it with Windows or macOS systems, as an external drive.

In the context of technology and devices, "Automatic Sleep Design" could relate to how a device enters a sleep or low-power mode when not in use. Designing this feature involves determining when and how a device goes into sleep mode to conserve energy and extend the device's lifespan.
