Update: New drive works great; I have about 2OTB stored and filed away for safe keeping. back to 5 stars, fast replacement turnaround.
I needed two 20Tb Hard Drives for a computer I was building and Newegg was the only supplier that had them in stock and ready to go. Not only that, but their price was better than the others, including That one that starts with an A. From now on, Newegg is the first place I will shop for computer components.
Its easy to plug. Got 2 tb
- High-performance HDD - High Capacity HDD for not a lot of money (bought during a sale)
Just bought my third Barracuda -- though the other two are working just fine. One 320GB it has been powered up for fourteen years, error-free. The other, an 8TB like this one, I don't know how long, but working fine.
Fast. Quiet. Large capacity. Previous drives have great reliability... This one might too!
works great...love the space
It's big. 10TB of storage. Supposed to be reliable. Only time will tell.
i got 3 of thies all work fine. 1 for my movie library, 1 for move drive back up, 1for back up of my d drive that helps to have back ups to much inf to lose.
Quick shipping Great price Great hard drive with the capacity I need
Came quick, was priced right, plugged into NAS and worked.
Works great so far, good speed for a sata drive
In very few drives it gives you a whole lot of space. Some reviews say it's loud, but I can't hear it over the slight humm of the fans on my NAS.
Works great, had a dead drive, but the three others I got were great. Trouble free replacement on the bad drive. Glad I bought from a reputable source.
Works as intended Price was right Replaced an older failed drive Fast RAID rebuild with new drive
Problem with the original order - drives were returned and a replacement requested. Newegg completed the RMA in quick order and shipped out the new drives. They're installed and running well. Great service!
Beau bon pas cher

First impression after starting it on a dock this morning is: What a speedy beast! My fist 8088 PC had a seagate 20MB doing 125 kB/s from an MFM controller. Took 2.5 hours for low-level then DOS format The WD takes less than a day to fill. Wonder what The SAS version does. And got 2 with a 5 year warranty for less than twice the price per TB of 12 unwarrantied 3TB HGST K4000 being auctioned today. Conditional to lasting performance this is a Super Deal! At room temperature they runs the 220 MB/s R/W test at 45 C cool! Since they are 7200 RPM they will probably be OK as spares for my 8*18 TB raid array.
I have not installed it yet so my comment is on the value for 4 TB of storage from a great brand. I plan to use it mainly for backups and C drive images. Speed is not an issue and being a mechanical drive, I hope to get some warning of impending failure years from now vs a sudden SSD failure
Top notch performance for a spinning disk drive Built a massive 60TB array in just a couple days through USB 3.0 (that's pretty good) These don't seem to be the green drives that can corrupt RAID arrays They do power down by my RAID enclosure's instructions, but power up quickly when commanded to do so One bad drive out of five, but replaced by Newegg with a good one one
